About the Makers
My HeArt's in Wisconsin is a husband-and-wife creative studio run by Kelly and Jeff Cushman, born and raised in Wisconsin. From camping and hiking to cooking, photography, and flea marketing, the two share a hands-on approach to life that naturally spills over into their work.
After years of crafting and gifting their creations to family and friends, Kelly and Jeff decided to share their talents beyond their inner circle, and My HeArt's in Wisconsin was born.
Kelly — Quilting & Fiber Arts
Kelly has been sewing for over 15 years, picking up the craft on an old Singer machine — with a little help from Jeff. Today, quilting is her passion. She creates pillows, bags, table runners, and full quilts, and also offers edge-to-edge longarm machine quilting services for those looking to finish their own projects.
Jeff — Woodworking
Jeff's woodworking story starts at age 8, when a maple pig-shaped cutting board earned him a blue ribbon at the Rock County 4-H Fair. That same cutting board still gets used in their kitchen today. More than 55 years later, Jeff continues building tables, benches, lamps, and clocks that celebrate the natural character of each wood species. He works exclusively with clear finishes — no stains — letting the grain, texture, and color speak for themselves. Every piece is one of a kind and built to last for generations.
